The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has recorded 978 convictions and recovered billions of naira into the purse of the states.
The Executive Chairman of EFCC, Abdulrasheed Bawa Boss made this statement during a courtesy visit to the Administrator of the National Judicial Institute (NJI), Justice Salisu Garba Abdullahi at Jabi, Abuja.
According to the EFCC boss, reiterated that the Commission has secured hundreds of forfeiture orders leading to the recoveries of billions of Naira for various state governments and individuals. “
Bawa, who said he was visiting to promote the cordial relationship between the NJI and the EFCC, noted that the NJI has been hugely involved in capacity building for judges, justices, investigators and prosecutors in the areas of development for the betterment of administration of criminal justice system.
Bawa, expressed delight with the support from the judiciary in the fight against corruption, highlighting that some of the achievements such as the use of technology in all its mandate areas and the working on several policy documents has improved the effectiveness of the commission.
