EFCC Chairman, Bawa with DG Nigeria Law School, Prof. Isah Hayatu Chiroma
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), and the Nigeria Law School have brokered fresh partnership aimed at reviving the journal on economic crimes, titled ‘Economic Crimes Law Report’.
Executive Chairman of the EFCC, Abdulrasheed Bawa, hinted at this new initiative on Monday, June 6, 2022, when a delegation from the Nigeria Law School led by its Director-General, Professor Isah Hayatu Chiroma, SAN, paid him a Courtesy Visit at the commission’s corporate headquarters in Abuja.
Bawa noted that the anti-graft agency has been instrumental to the development of law in Nigeria and wants the two institutions to partner to achieve more positive strides.
“I am not aware of any institution of government that has contributed to the development of law in Nigeria in the last fifteen years (15) other than the EFCC.
“Last year alone, we secured two thousand, two hundred and twenty convictions (2,220) and this year, we have on record more than one thousand five hundred convictions thus far”, Bawa disclosed.
