A hostel mate of the late Sylvester Oromoni has spoken out about the cause of the death of his teenage friend at Dowen College Lagos
The young man name withheld has confirmed the news that ‘Sly’ as he is fondly called by his schoolmates was beaten by some senior pupils of the school.
Information has it that Sly was seriously beaten and injured on the night 27th of November 2021, by the perpetrators simply identified as Favor, Anslem, Michael, Edwin and 2 others.
The ‘senior students’ came to the demised’s room and switched off the light and descended heavily on the young man who was their target inflicting several degrees of injuries to the hapless 12-year-old.
According to an Instagram user, Adeola Fayehun simply known as Adeolafayehun, the School Management has perfected the art of covering up its tracks very well.
According to the IG user, Adeolafayehun, the student who said he couldn’t keep quiet after a while, went ahead to report to the principal, stating that on the day Sylvester Oromoni was taken home by his uncle, the seniors called the other pupils and told them to claim that Sylvester got injured while playing football.
It was also gathered that the housemaster, Mr Ahmed, was fully aware of the atrocities often committed by the guilty students against the junior students but had failed to register any significant help or solution towards curbing the development.
The Lagos State Government has vowed to bring the killers of late Sylvester to book.
