CO-FOUNDER and CEO of Social Lender, Faith Adesemowo among other experts, will discuss “Tech Disruptions and Future of African Economies,” during the third edition of Prime Business Africa’s Socio-Economic and Entrepreneurship Development Series (SEEDS) on Tuesday September 28, 2021.
Faith Adesemowo’s Social Lender is a digital Financial Services firm, created to provide African farmers, students and small business owners with access to financial services.
According to Dr Marcel Mbamalu, the Editor-in-Chief of Prime Business Africa, the theme of this month’s SEEDS focuses on general landscape of technogy and how it affects African businesses and economies.
Tech experts, led by co-founder of Flutterwave and General Partner of Future Africa, Mr Iyinoluwa Aboyeji, will also examine the growth rate of fintech in Africa and, the corresponding challenges as well as other topical issues like the borderless Africa and the role of technology.
“Others are level of adoption of Cloud Computing Technology and Security; Africa’s Tech landscape and Nigeria’s role; Innovation Incubation hub in Nigeria and the deep-rooted concern about Technology taking human jobs in the context of hopes for the common man,” Dr Marcel stated.
Faith has many years of experience in individual and corporate portfolios at BGL Securities and then proceeded to join Investment Banking at BGL Capital where her focus was structuring and executing project finance and debt capital market deals.
An alumna of Warwick Business School, Faith is an emerging markets leader with focus on innovation, driving strategic business growth and scaling solutions driven by technology.
She is passionate about deploying technology for delivering good social impact projects, and has won multiple awards for Social Lender.
