Popular Development Strategist Launches New Website To Curate African Stories

Renowned educationist and international development strategist, Dr. Bunmi Oyinsan is set to launch  new website that will primarily render stories on various African cultures and traditions for the education and enlightenment of  young and old people.

Dr Oyinsan, co-founder of Lekki Peninsula College, Nursery and Primary schools, and  director of Equality Through Education Foundation (ETEF),  has  delivered incisive lectures in at least two of the Prime Business Africa’s  SEEDS  webinar on Education between  June  and December last year.

She is a prolific writer with several short stories to her credit published in anthologies and journals.

She has also written and produced television dramas and serials, stage plays and radio plays.

Dr Dr Oyinsan said the new website will offer a platform for conveying “Afrocentric stories, biographies, history of Africa for kids, nursery rhymes and other resources for parents, teachers and libraries.”

She further stated that the web will also “serve as a platform for showcasing the creative talents of writers, illustrators, animators and other creative people from Africa and the African diaspora.”

The web platform will be officially launched on 19th February 2022, in a virtual event by 5pm GMT, 12noon Eastern Time, 6pm West African Time (WAT).

she said the links to join and participate in the crucial virtual event would be provided soon.

Dr Oyinsan’s participation in two editions of the monthly  SEEDS webinar  organised by Newstide Publications Limited, publishers of (Prime Business Africa), especially those bordering on tertiary education funding and administration, were rated by hundreds of attendees as ”very illuminating.”

She was also on the five-man SEEDS panel  discussed COVID-19 and Business Startups in Africa in December  2021.

SEEDS, an acronym for Socio-economic and Entrepreneurship Development Series, is a monthly conference analysing issues within Africa’s economic and socio-political  space for continent-wide entrepreneurial  growth.
