Court Grants Dr Dre, Former Wife Divorce As Duo Share Rapper’s Wealth

Estranged wife of American rapper Dr Dre, Nicole Young, has gotten her wishes of gaining some of her former spouse’s vast business empires and money after their bitter separation.

According to a report monitored on TMZ, Dre has agreed to pay $100M (N57B) to Nicole – $50M now and the balance in a year following the judgement of court that ordered the millionaire to pay his ex-wife, Young $300,000 (N151M) in spousal support monthly.

Nicole, a trained lawyer, filed for divorce from the millionaire rapper in 2020 citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for her split from the superstar.

Dre got to keep seven of the properties they own, including a Malibu home, two expensive homes in Calabasas, and four properties in the L.A. area, including the $100 million Brentwood estate.

Dre also got the full rights to his master recordings, trademarks and interests in various partnerships and trusts.

The billionaire rapper and music executive also got to keep all of their Apple stocks, which includes the proceeds from the sale of Beats by Dre. Nicole got jewelry, cash and bank accounts that she had maintained during the marriage.

The couple got married in 1996 and are blessed with two adult children, Triuce and Truly.

Young was formerly married to NBA player, Sedale Threat.
