Commonwealth Games 2022 Update: Ese Brume, Amusan, Usoro Qualify For Women’s Long Jump, Hurdles Finals

Nigeria’s Ese Brume has leapt to the final of the long jump event of the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham reports Prime Business Africa.

The African record holder in her discipline achieved a distance of 6.81m (+0.3) on her second attempt on Friday to reach the final of the competition slates for 7pm Nigerian time Sunday.

Brume was one of the best performers at the World Athletics Championships in Oregon where she won Silver with a time of 7.02 seconds.

In the 100m Hurdles event, Tobi Amusan clocked an impressive time of 12.40 seconds in the Women’s semifinals to qualify for Sunday’s finale.

Rosemary Usoro also made it to the final, as one of the best losers, finishing in third place in the Group B qualification race.

Izuchukwu Okosi

He has been part of cast in some Nollywood movies and radio dramas including Blood Money 2, Scores To Settle, Dead End 2, Another Campus Tale and Battle Line. Aside mainstream media and the entertainment industry, he has interests in scouting/unearthing of talents in the sports and creative sectors, exports business and property development.
