CCECC Pledges To Complete Abuja Light Rail Project In 8 Months

China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation Ltd (CCECC), a renowned Chinese construction company, has vowed to complete the Abuja light rail project in eight months, in line with the infrastructure development goals set by President Tinubu’s administration.

This was made known during a meeting at the Presidential Villa on Wednesday, where Vice President, Kashim Shettima, welcomed CCECC Chairman Mr. Jason Zhang and his management team on a courtesy call.

Vice President Shettima praised CCECC for its significant contributions to Nigeria’s infrastructural development, acknowledging the company’s longstanding history in the country.

He emphasized the positive relationship between Nigeria and China, applauding CCECC for its non-interference in local politics and its financial support for Nigeria and other African nations.

“You have been in this country for 42 years. We have to commend you for all the beautiful initiatives and support over the years. We share a lot in common with the people of China, just as you have been with us through thick and thin. You have the financial firepower and the willingness to support Nigeria and other African countries without interfering in our local politics. This we appreciate a lot,” said Vice President Shettima.
