In a sensational twist on transfer deadline day, La Liga giants Barcelona early Tuesday morning confirmed the free acquisition of Arsenal forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
A deal sheet had to be provided by the parties involved to see it get over the line.
The deal to take the Gabon international to Camp Nou looked dead in the waters but it emerged late Monday that both clubs have agreed to do business albeit without a fee paid to Arsenal.
The move is a permanent one with the Gunners allowing him to go which means that they are able to save about £25m with Aubameyang’s contract expiring in 2023 on a £350,000 weekly wages.
It is understood that Aubameyang, a lifelong Real Madrid supporter took a pay cut for the Barcelona move to materialise.
