Arsenal and Newcastle United are reportedly plotting a move for a €70 million-rated Napoli and Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen.
According to reports in the Italian media, Arsenal have turned their attention to the Super Eagles star as their pursuit of Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic fades away
The Serbian is reportedly keen on a move to Juventus and not to North London to join the Gunners.
Italian news outlet Gazzetta dello Sport scooped that Newcastle are also keen despite already securing a striker this month in the shape of Chris Woods from relegation rivals Burnley.
The report states Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis would be prepared to sell his prized asset as long as their valuation is met.
It’s believed that Osimhen has a whopping €70 million (£58 million) price tag on his head. -
Mikel Arteta’s side are still in the market for a new striker as the situation regarding Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang seems irredeemable.
The Gabon superstar is not part of the team to a a warm weather training camp in Dubai after disciplinary issues saw Arteta ostracise him from first team action.
Eddie Howe is currently in Saudi Arabia, but insists the club are working hard towards new transfers.
