Aribo Provides Two Assists In Rangers’ Europa League Win Against Braga

Kemar Roofe’s extra-time goal sent Rangers into the Europa League semi-finals with a nerve-wracking 3-2 aggregate win over Braga at Ibrox with the visitors finishing with nine men on Thursday night reports Prime Business Africa.

Super Eagles midfielder Joe Aribo was in inspirational form for Glasgow Rangers Thursday night as they reached the semifinals of the UEFA Europa League at the expense of Portuguese side Braga 3-2 on aggregate after extra time. .

The feat was the 14th time Rangers will reach the semifinals of the competition.

Aribo provided two assists in the 3-1 win albeit they had lost 1-0 away on Portugal last week.

Aribo’s first assist was a perfect pass to James Tavenier who fired past the opponents goalkeeper into the bottom right corner.

Roofe thought he had it made 2-0 for the Gers but the VAR overruled the effort for offside. Tavernier then doubled their lead from the penalty spot for the Scottish giants

with the visitors reduced to ten men with the sending off of Tormena.

Aribo should have netted a third shortly after the start of the second half but his shot flew just wide of the left post.

Leon Balogun came off the bench in place of Borna Borisic to firm up the defence while Calvin Bassey played from start to finish and was imperious in defence especially in the first half.
