Anambra State Adopts Saturdays As School Days Over IPOB’s Monday Sit At Home Order

DUE to the rising wave of crime and the now adopted Sit-at-Home order handed out by the Proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Saturdays have been officially declared as a school day in Anambra state by the state government.

Mondays have now been observed as a ‘day of rest’ albeit under duress by most citizens in the Southern eastern states of Nigeria as IPOB continue to express dismay over the arrest of its leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu by the Nigerian government.

In a statement from the office of the Governor, Gov. Willie Obiano, reiterated that Saturdays have been replaced as school days in place of Mondays, and all school managements are to notify teachers, pupils as well as parents about the new development.

Saturday classes are to commence on 30/10/21.
