Anambra 2021: Former Enugu Gubernatorial Candidate Knocks INEC Over Poor Electronic Gadgets

A former Governorship aspirant in Enugu, Chima Nnaji, on Saturday morning has berated the Independent National Electoral Commission’s performance with the card reader which he described as dismal.

Nnaji wondered why the electronic gadgets deployed for the election were malfunctioning.

“This is a plot to rubbish the demand for electronic transfer of result that has been clamoured for by Nigerians.

The former governorship aspirant opined that INEC is compromised.

“With the huge amount always allocated to INEC, Nigeria should not be experiencing this type of shame or poor run with electronic electioneering equipment.

Nnaji further stated that since this was not a general election, INEC ought to have tested all the card readers to ascertain the good ones and separate them from the bad ones.

“It just looks to me like some people in high places are trying to sabotage the efforts at conducting elections electronically in this country, Nnaji, he stressed.
