Nigeria’s golden girl, Tobi Amusan on Sunday night bounced back from a disappointing World Athletics Championship performance to win her second gold medal at the 100m hurdles event of the IAAF Golden Meet.
With a time of 12.33 seconds, she has emerged as the winner of the hotly contested 100m hurdles at the Diamond League in Oregon, the same place she won the title last year.
Puerto Rico’s Camacho-Quinn Jasmine was second in the race with a time of 12.38 while USA’s Kendra Harrison finished in third place with a time of 12.44.
The fourth position was taken by Jamaica’s Danielle Williams in 12.47 secs.
The feat was Amusan’s third time of winning gold at the Diamond League. She is currently ranked the world’s fourth best hurdler by the World Athletics.
Amusan becomes the second woman in Diamond League history after Dawn Nelson-Harper to win a hat-trick of 100m hurdles titles.
