The Super Eagles of Nigeria on Monday produced a perfect performance in their second Group A game of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations with a 10-0 drubbing of hapless Sao Tome and Principe at the Stade d’ Agadir reports Prime Business Africa.

The win has become the second highest win by the three-time African champions with the 10-1 win over Dahomey in Lagos on 28 November, 1959 the record highest win by the Nigerian national team before Monday’s domination.

Head coach José Peseiro rang a few changes with Calvin Bassey coming into central defence to partner Semi Ajayi following the injury to William Troost Ekong. Zaidu Sanusi played at left back.

Victor Osimhen scored four goals while Terem Moffi scored twice. Moses Simon, Oghenekaro Etebo, Ademola Lookman and Emmanuel Dennis completed the rout of the opponents.
